WSC Volunteer Opportunities
Wainfleet Skating Club has been able to offer quality programs at competitive prices because of our fundraising and our volunteers. Without our volunteers, we would not be able to run our Club or provide such memorable experiences to our skaters. Each family is required to do 10 hours of volunteering. Every $40 dollars fundraised counts as 1 hour of volunteering or other ways throughout the season. There are many ways to volunteer and help out.
Ways to help:
All Starskate families will take turns playing music during their child(ren)'s sessions. A monthly schedule with be emailed as well as available in paper form both in the display as well as in the music room. If you are unable to play music on your assigned day, please make arrangements with another parent to switch days.
For anyone that requires a demonstration on the function of the music equipment let us know and we will arrange an in-person instruction or see a Board Member during the session for help. Do not hesitate to ask for assistance.
Ways to help:
- Attendance table and ribbon station for Canskate and Precanskate sessions
- Assisting with special events- Halloween, Christmas party, special events. etc.
- Assistance with fundraisers- organizing and distributing orders etc.
- Assisting at the end of year showcase.
- Volunteering your time on the board of directors.
- Pay for your volunteer hours- write a $200 cheque to Wainfleet Skating Club and buy your required volunteer hours.
- Sell Advertising Space to businesses and receive your credit for the dollar value of ads you sell.
